We are a community of believers who join every year to pray for our city, state, and nation. We join with the National Day of Prayer’s annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for our nation.

Mission

Our Mission is to engage our area churches and religious organizations in the promotion of the annual National Day of Prayer.

The Salem National Day of Prayer Committee represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.
